Teacher Creature Project
Project Reflection
For this project, we got the chance to interview a teacher and make them into a the creature of either their or our choice. I asked my math teacher, Lauren, a series of questions involving what environment she likes, what hobbies she enjoys, what she was afraid of, and what her favorite animal was. I then used the answers to some of these questions in the creation of my project. I decided to incorporate Laurens daughters into the picture, and made them baby lions to go with Laurens body (a lion) so it looked as though it was a mom lion with her cubs. I used the lions texture so that the face blended into the body more on all three of the lions. The hardest part of this project was making the objects more believable and blend in better with the background, but I used my resources to make it easier to finish. My favorite part of this project was learning more photoshop skills and using the tools that I was learning in order to make my final product. Through this project, I have learned that I can persevere through anything no matter how hard it may be. I also learned that there are people that are willing to help me, and that made me feel better about my experience at Animas. As a digital artist, I learned that if I use my resources, I can learn quickly and come up with a final product that I wouldn’t expect from myself. I learned a lot about myself myself and photoshop through this project that will help me on future projects.

Photoshop Tutorials
- I warped the eye tooth to make them look like vampire teeth.
- I used the paint brush tool to make her hair red.
- I changed the hue and saturation to make the eye turquoise rather than blue.
- I made the layer multiply and have a different opacity so that the face had a different texture.
Mini Landscape Project
For this mini project, we were given an album of pictures and told to make a picture using photoshop. I decided that I wanted to use the sky from one of the pictures and add the person on a horse so that it looked as though she was on the road. Before doing this project, we learned how scale and proportion are used in pictures. I also learned what the foreground, middleground, and background are. By labeling these in my final product, I showed what they meant. The foreground was represented in the closest part of my picture, which was the close up trees and rocks on the ground. The middleground are the things that you can still see as individuals but they aren’t as close up, which was the girl on the horse and the trees in the middle of the pictures. The background is the items that can’t be seen individually, but all sort of blend together and are the furthest away, in this instance the mountains and the sky.

Name Project
For this mini project, we were given the task to go out and take pictures of things that looked like the letters in our name, and then create a photoshop document and make it into our name.
